KEY PERSONNEL & RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Control Manager:
- Gaining an understanding of the client’s needs and requirements and communicating them and the quality standards to the production teams.
- Devising, improving, and reviewing new specifications and procedures for products or processes, and training staff to use them.
- Setting the requirements for raw materials from suppliers and monitoring their compliance.
- Supervising inspectors, technicians, and other staff members and providing guidance.
- Ensuring legal obligations are followed and ensuring compliance with regulatory bodies and with health and safety guidelines.
- Overseeing product development procedures to identify any deviations from quality standards.
- Inspecting the final output, comparing it to the requirements, and approving or rejecting the final products. Keeping accurate documentation and performing statistical analysis. Gaining feedback from the clients, attending meetings, submitting reports, and assisting external auditors and inspectors.
Welding QA/QC Manager’s Skills & Experience
- Extensive experience in relevant welding Engineering.
- Considerable relevant experience in the construction of onshore oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries facilities (pressure vessels, tanks, mechanical, fabrication, pipelines, piping etc.) including live installations.
- A graduate qualification in Welding Engineering or shall be registered as Welding Engineer with reputable institution.
- Demonstrated sound technical knowledge and extensive experience in welding processes (SMAW, SAW, GTAW, GMAW, and FCAW etc.), materials, welding and fabrication methods in onshore oil and gas industry.
- Expert knowledge in welding of high strength pipeline steels and improved corrosion resistant alloys (CRA) used in oil and gas industry.
- Fully conversant with international codes (ANSI/ASME, ASTM, API, BS, EN, MSS, ISO standards etc.) used in oil and gas industry.
- Considerable relevant experience in the construction of onshore oil & Gas or Petrochemical industries facilities (pressure vessels, tanks, mechanical, fabrication, pipelines, piping etc.) including live installations.
- Makes prompt and appropriate decisions even with limited information.
- Uses coaching and mentoring to enhance each team member’s capabilities.
- Reviews progress regularly with Project team members on assigned tasks and projects and provides developmental feedback.
- Encourages direct reports to take smart risks and supports creativity and innovation; reinforces positive feedback.
- Meets commitments and adheres to the Code of Business Conduct and ethical behavior, procedures and rules/regulations.
- Establishes & maintains effective relationships with customers, gains their trust & respect.
